Yes! The HangSmart Soundbar Mount has been rigorously tested to hold up to 50 lbs safely. Most soundbars weigh under 15 lbs, so you're well within range. The design uses the same patented 45° angled nail system as our TV mount. Installed correctly, it anchors into drywall or plaster without studs, using physics and distributed weight for stability.

Our no-stud mounts are primarily designed and tested for use on standard drywall (gypsum board). While some users have successfully installed the product on certain types of plaster walls, we generally recommend using specialized hardware for plaster to ensure the safest installation, especially for heavy items like a TV.

The Soundbar Mount is universally compatible — whether your soundbar is long, slim, or heavier-duty. It's adjustable to fit the most popular models including Sonos, Samsung, Bose, Vizio, and more. The soundbar mount is adjustable up to 5 inches. So ensure that your soundbar depth is within 5 inches.

Typically 0.5–1 inch, enough to manage cables without removing the mount. If you need more space, you can extend the adjustable shelves out slightly and pull the soundbar forward.

Yes! It's designed to install directly under your wall-mounted TV, including TVs installed with the HangSmart TV Mount. The two products are complementary and create a seamless floating setup.

Yes. Like the TV mount, you simply lift the soundbar forward and up off of the shelf. This makes it easy to change out or service your soundbar without damage.

Removal is quick and easy. First, detach the side security brackets and lift your soundbar shelf off the wall bracket. Once the shelf is out of the way, take a pair of pliers (or the back of a hammer) and gently pull the angled nails out one by one until the bracket releases from the wall. The nail holes are tiny (pen-tip sized), so cleanup or patching is simple if you're relocating or moving.

Most soundbars use standard slots or screw holes. Our Soundbar mounts work differently. It rests on a shelf, so you do not need to screw any nuts or bolts into the soundbar itself.

Cable management with the soundbar mount is simple. Because the mount sits slightly off the wall, you'll have enough clearance to route HDMI, optical, or power cables directly into the back of your soundbar. For outlets positioned directly behind your setup, cords can be tucked out of sight behind the soundbar itself.

If your power outlet is lower on the wall and cords need to run down toward the floor, we recommend pairing the Soundbar Mount with our HangSmart Wire Concealer Kit. It neatly hides cords inside a sleek channel that runs straight down to your outlet.

For even more clearance, you can use the included spacers and longer screws to bring your soundbar slightly forward, giving you extra space for plugs and cable routing. Unlike the HangSmart TV Mount (where the guide is hidden behind the screen), the Soundbar Mount guide would be visible below your TV. For that reason, we recommend tearing it off the wall once you're finished with installation. The guide is designed with perforated tear lines, making it easy to remove cleanly without damaging your wall.
